The Malaysian Halal Management System (MHMS) is an official guideline established by JAKIM in 2020 as a guide for companies pursuing halal certification in Malaysia. It is intended to provide a thorough guide to establish an internal halal management system within the organization. The MHMS comprise of 2 components – the Internal Halal Control System (IHCS) and Halal Assurance System (HAS).

Having a competent internal Halal committee is one of the important factors in implementing and maintaining a robust Halal management system. Besides the designated Halal Executive, the other members of the committee must also have a thorough understanding of Halal requirements. This course is intended to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge to achieve this purpose.

Malaysian Halal certification is coordinated by JAKIM and Majlis Agama Islam Negeri (MAIN). In the process of halal certification, evaluation is performed on all products and consumables, food premises and slaughterhouses supplying food and consumables for Muslims

Halal food means any foods that are allowed to be eaten according to Syariah Law. This course is intended to provide the participants with knowledge of the Halal and Haram concept and how it applies to the production of food and consumer goods, as well as services.

Risk management is described as the identification and analysis of risks and their control. In the Halal industry, there are also known risks and hazards which may affect the halal status of the product.

Certified Halal Executive Program has been designed and developed by Halal Professional Board (HPB), JAKIM. This course teaches the skills and knowledge to be a competent Halal Executive. At the end of this course, each module will require the participants to sit for an exam and they also need to submit assignment to JAKIM. Our survey shows that this course gives insights and effect their work positively.
